Small crawler excavators have a sophisticated structure. Proper daily maintenance can reduce failure probability and extend service life. The maintenance shall focus on key components and follow the principles of daily inspection and regular upkeep. The key maintenance contents are as follows.
First, maintenance of crawler traveling system. Clean soil and gravel in crawler gaps every day to avoid wear on track plates caused by hard objects. Check the crawler tension with a suitable sag of 2-3 cm, and adjust the tension cylinder in a timely manner. Regularly inspect carrier rollers and track rollers, and add grease to prevent stagnation and oil leakage.
Second, maintenance of hydraulic system. Inspect hydraulic oil pipes daily for leakage, aging and cracking. Keep the hydraulic oil clean, replace hydraulic oil and filter elements on schedule, and never mix hydraulic oil of different labels to prevent impurities from wearing hydraulic pumps and oil cylinders. Clean the hydraulic radiator after operation to avoid heat dissipation failure caused by dust blockage.
Third, maintenance of power system. Check the liquid levels of engine oil, coolant and antifreeze before startup and replenish them in time if insufficient. Clean the air filter regularly, and increase the cleaning frequency in dusty environments to prevent engine wear caused by dust ingress.
In addition, check the tightness of bolts and pin shafts daily, and apply grease to the hinge points of booms and sticks. Clean sundries on the machine after operation, park it on flat and dry ground with sun and rain protection. Standardize operation and conduct scientific maintenance to ensure stable operation of the equipment.
